An imposing, extended early twentieth century detached five bedroom family house set in approximately an acre of grounds with swimming pool and double garage. Great location at the edge of the village close to the railway station and The Bissoe Trail.

Why You'll Like It

This substantial five bedroom family house has been extended over the years. The original property is thought to date from the early 1900s and high ceilings, stone walls and large, light bay windows characterise this traditional home. The house sits in approximately an acre which largely comprises lawned garden with a mix of hedging and stone walls. There's a 36' swimming pool in a polytunnel (heated with off peak electricity) and a double garage with electric doors along with a further block built store. The main entrance to the house is at the rear where there is an entrance porch and spacious hallway. The practical cloakroom / WC also has a shower, ideal after a dip in the pool! The kitchen / breakfast room has a pleasant mix of modern kitchen and traditional AGA. The Magnet kitchen has stylish gloss cream units with ample laminated working surface space. There's a built-in AEG multi function oven and AEG microwave /oven combination. There's an AEG ceramic hob with stainless recirculating extractor over. An integrated dishwasher is fitted and there is a 300mm pull-out larder unit along with two corner carousels. The oil fired AGA is a great addition adding warmth and style. There's a separate utility room where the oil fired boiler is located and there is a sink and plumbing for the washing machine. The impressive dining room has recently laid herring bone oak block flooring and a fire place with chimney (not currently used). In the living room there's a cosy wood burner and bay window. The Sun room works well as a playroom or office or simply a lovely place to enjoy the garden and the patio doors give access to the barbecue patio! Upstairs there are five generous bedrooms and the family bathroom which has a shower over the bath and a large airing cupboard. The master bedroom is particularly lovely being dual aspect and having a bay window. Really a fantastic family home in a great location.

Where It Is

Perranwell Station has excellent amenities including a Post Office and Stores, the Royal Oak pub, Perran-ar-worthal Primary School, Chuckles Day Nursery, Pre-School, Cricket Club, Football Club, WI, village hall with a programme of events and regular fitness and social events. The Truro/Falmouth branch line train service stops in the village and provides a regular link, as does the bus service. There are plenty of local walks and cycle routes close by with the coast to coast Bissoe Trail a short distance away. DIRECTIONS From Truro take the A39 towards Falmouth, go straight over at the Devoran roundabout, after leaving the roundabout indicate that you are going to make a right turn and virtually opposite the Yummy Scrummy Bakery you will see the entrance to Tarrandean Lane. It is not obvious until you are there so slow down and look for the opening 50 yards past the entrance to the Yummy Scrummy Cafe site. Tarrandean Lane is approximately 50 metres before the entrance to the industrial estate and Walsh Solicitors building. Clayton House is 800 yards up the lane on your left.

  • "Definitely the best local agent" Parkers are very knowledgeable about the local area and were definitely the best local agent we saw when viewing various different properties. When we ended up buying our house through them, they were very easy to deal with and Lisa did a brilliant job at keeping us up to date with everything, meaning one less stress to worry about. Thanks to all!"Mrs B, London, Oct 2019

  • "Very helpful, easy to work with and made the move a lot easier" We used Parkers for the sale of our old house and the purchase of our new one and have to say that they were very helpful, easy to work with and made the move a lot easier than I thought. They knew the exact kind of property we were looking for and we weren’t disappointed with what they found us. 5 stars from us."Mr and Mrs F, Cleeve, Feb 2020
  • "Grateful to all the staff" We really appreciate your support through the moving process. The chain started off very smoothly but then became quite challenging. Parkers were pivotal in stabilising the chain and looked out for all parties to ease the moving process. We are particularly grateful to all the staff"SR, Dec 2019
  • "Once again excellent" Having used Parker’s several times over the years, we were pleased to find that the service provided for our recent house sale was once again excellent. Regular contact, updates and chasing issues when necessary helped ease the stress. We would not hesitate to recommend Parker’s and use their services in future."Mr J W, Nailsea, Nov 2019
  • "Very helpful" The whole team at Parkers were very helpful at every stage of the journey that has finally seen Mum moving."Mr W, Nailsea, Sept 2019
  • "We were very happy with your service" We were very happy with your service throughout, sorry for it being such a complex sale (although aren't they always!).You will be getting nothing but praise from us when people ask for estate agents in the area....I've already said to some people whom I've met who want to move to the area to "pop in" and speak to you."Mr B, Backwell, Sept 19
  • "You’ve all been great" Just to say thank you so much for all that you’ve done over the years regarding my property, with rental and now the sale. You’ve all been great and I am very grateful. I wish you all the very best"Mr S, Bristol, Aug 2019
  • "A gem of customer service" Once in a while, in this age of faceless call centres, you come across a gem of customer service. Parker's (at Backwell) were one such organisation. I'd wholeheartedly recommend them to sellers and buyers alike – the team represent the opposite of the poor rap estate agents get."Mr & Mrs G, Backwell
